Taylor's educational journey commenced at a neighborhood school encompassing grades 1 through 6, with a dedicated faculty of three teachers. Following these formative years, Taylor transitioned to Brenham's selectively integrated junior high school for her seventh and eighth grades. Eventually, she graduated from Brenham High School, receiving a well-deserved high school diploma.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and growth, Taylor pursued higher education at Prairie View A&M University and EMT School at Southwest Teas University. Notably, she stood as one-half of the only black couple attending EMT School, demonstrating her resilience and determination to excel against all odds. Successfully obtaining state EMT certification, her commitment to healthcare was further solidified. Taylor then embarked on further educational pursuits, enrolling in Austin Community College Vocational Nursing School, where she attained a vocational nursing license. Seeking broader horizons and management skills, she expanded her academic repertoire at Black Stone Paralegal School and Kaplan University, where she ultimately earned a bachelor's degree in management. Her thirst for knowledge persisted, prompting her to visit the esteemed Keller DeVry Graduate School of Management.
Work History:
Taylor's professional journey began with a weekend tour guide position at the historic Brazos Museum, a pivotal cultural landmark in Washington, Texas—the birthplace of Texas and its first capital. This role provided invaluable experience and allowed her to share her passion for history with others. Subsequently, she transitioned to working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN) before ascending to Medical Technician II at the Gary Job Corps Center. Here, she dedicated her expertise to providing medical services to marginalized young men and women seeking empowerment and opportunities.
Taking her commitment to healthcare further, Taylor pursued nursing education and became a licensed vocational nurse (LVN). Continuously striving to make a difference, she assumed the role of Reproductive Health Coordinator, coordinating medical care for pregnant women navigating the complex decision of motherhood or adoption. Taylor's compassion and expertise further led her to work as a private home health aide, later transitioning to ResCare Home Care, where she continued her exceptional services. She subsequently utilized her nursing skills as a contract nurse for Hill Country MHMR.
Remarkably, Taylor's journey led her to Horizon, where she assumed the position of Health and Wellness Director. Later, she witnessed the transition to Brookdale Senior Living, and her community became Brookdale San Marcos North. Demonstrating her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of senior citizens, Taylor's role as Health and Wellness Director directly impacted the overall well-being of the residents under her care.

The organization was able to thrive with the help of dedicated volunteers and community members, resulting in recognition and support from both local communities.
Transitioning to ImpactSM Charity Inc. Aiming to create a more streamlined and responsive organization. The pandemic posed a need for a more focused approach to community needs, allowing for this change. Launching ImpactSM Charity Inc. Enabled the organization to adjust and realign its resources, guaranteeing that its services remain accessible and effective during these challenging times. Arthur Taylor and his team successfully averted the negative effects of the pandemic for a short period by adopting innovative strategies and leveraging technology.

It's unfortunate that ImpactSM Charity Inc., despite its initial resilience and adaptability, Faced unforeseen difficulties that ultimately led to its closure. As the pandemic persisted, the organization was confronted with increasing financial pressures, diminishing resources, and volunteer fatigue. ImpactSM Charity Inc. Encountered significant obstacles as a result of these factors and the changing landscape of community needs. Struggled to overcome.
The closure of ImpactSM Charity Inc. Influenced Arthur Taylor's family's response to the birth of Vision In Action Nonprofit Foundation which took place in 2023. Through the establishment of the Vision In Action Nonprofit Foundation, their commitment to community service continues with this new venture, which was motivated by their conviction in making a positive impact. Through the experience and knowledge gained from previous endeavors, the Taylor family attempted to implement meaningful strategies to address emerging challenges in the community.
Employment
Texas Educational Foundation/Gary Job Corps Center was my employer for nine years and Arthur was responsible for being a Senior Advisor, Acting Campus Supervisor, and Acting Student Education Counselor. The responsibility of managing a dormitory with 100 students daily involves supervision of students between the ages of 16 and 21.
While serving as a campus supervisor, Arthur was responsible for 9 residence halls as well as supervising staff and enforcing policies and procedures, teaching soft skills classes daily, assisting students with the challenges of careers and GEDs, and establishing themselves as productive citizens of society. Handle the payment for students on payday and beyond.
Worked at the San Marcos Treatment Center Served as a mental health para-professional for mentally disturbed/disabled and at-risk youth, both males and females, creating mental health treatment plans and working to return the client home upon completion of treatment. US Army Veteran and a Texas National Guard Veteran United States and Europe, worked as a MOS 63 Bravo mechanic, was later assigned to weapons control and issuance for M-16, small arms, and was responsible for strict accountability for ammunition, heavy weapons, Explosive Devices, and the company's security, later assigned for the OJT Military Police for regular patrol duties of restricted areas under the direction of the SOD or supervision of the NCOIC.
Arthur worked as an Understudy of the Hogan Funeral Home in Brenham, Texas, and was responsible for arranging the funerals, assisting in embalming and directing the funeral services, as well as transporting the deceased citizen and managing the Hotshot Rescue Service Pick-up and transport for sick or injured citizens throughout every location in the district.
In 2007 Arthur was appointed to Serve the San Marcos, Texas Charter Review Commission, where he served one term as Vice Chair, the success of that commission was the more than 60 propositions placed on the ballot and successfully passed by voters. Later Arthur was appointed by the City Council to serve as Commissioner for the Ethic Review Commission responsible for the accountability, ethical standards by elected and appointed or hired personnel.
Arthur served as Chair of the Review Commission twice, but served three terms. Arthur was elected to serve as Vice-chair of the Community Improvement Tasks Force for the City of San Marcos and provided a study of the immediate and long-term needs for the city, including but not limited to, a public library, fire stations, police headquarters upgrade, and the relocation many of the city's apparatus to new location to better serve the community.
Arthur provided the task force findings to the city council during a presentation that lasted approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
During the pandemic, Arthur served his final term on the Charter Review Commission and proposed changes to the City charter to the city council.
During earlier times, Arthur joined as a member of the San Marcos, Evening Lions Club and served as the Communication Director, and Secretary Treasure and served in these positions two terms each.
Despite serving in many public positions, Arthur also held the position of Court Appointed Special Advocate,(CASA) representing children in court while they were in Child Protective Services care for 13 years, assisting children in need without losing any cases. In 2018, Arthur became campaign Manager for Mark Rockymo0re for a first-term City Council seat, The Campaign was forced into a runoff where Rockymoore won and became a City Council Member.
Arthur served as Board Member of the Juneteenth Charity Foundation for one year, where he was responsible for arranging Juneteenth Parades, entertainment, project security for the community-wide celebration. Arthur has been instrumental in helping different candidates who were seeking elected office over the years with great success and is still active in the political arena.

Arthur's early career involved writing and recording records with Liberace Music Productions in Hollywood, California.

Two books, Dark Hearts - Iron Hands 'The Conspiracy' and A Country in Trouble, are currently pending publication. Dorance Publishing in New York has been considering the publication of both books.
In 2015 and 2017 Arthur Taylor successfully authored the Civil Rights case of Geraldine Taylor v. Job Corps and after summary judgment, Arthur Taylor gained approval for appeal in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals "Pro se" and subsequently, filed a second case and tried while the first case was in the appeals court. The second case was won by unanimous vote of 7-0 in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas with proper legal representation (7-member legal team) and the appeal was then dropped.
This case became the book authored by Arthur Taylor titled “Dark Hearts -Iron Hands “The Conspiracy.”

I owned a lemonade stands and candy corner at a young age. However, it was through my involvement with the Michael Taylor group in San Marcos, Texas that I truly discovered my passion for leadership and community engagement. As a member, director of Vision In Action, I was exposed to a plethora of opportunities that allowed me to develop valuable skills and make a positive impact in my community. From organizing charity events leading team-building exercises, the Michael Taylor group provided me with a platform to hone my business acumen and cultivate my leadership abilities. Through their guidance and support, I not only gained practical experience in a business setting, but also learned the importance of giving back and making a difference in the lives of others.
In 1995 Michael was nominated by a good friend named Abby Flint. And he became the first Black American to hold a position on the national student council as a freshman. Together we brought back many traditions, from school dances, pep rallies, class floats and bonfires, even the mascots and savers of the ROTC program and the school newspaper.
Michael was part of a group of 4 car mechanics who built an engine from an F150 in the fastest time and an alternator in the second fastest time. Michael was part of a construction team through high school Where helped build a house for a family in need. In 1996 Michael later became part of the national program “pals”, a program that provides young people with a point of contact in times of crisis. That same year he became part of the Big Brother Big Sister program, with which the program brings you together with our kids in need of family like support. Children who need the experience of a big brother or sister Sometimes the children who participate in this program find it difficult to adjust to life at home with school friends and have difficulty adapting. Some of them were bullied. Or you have an illness and just need someone to care and listen to you. throughout Michaels Junior year to present, Michael worked in the family business providing Private crime Prevention to business in the San Marcos, and Surrounding areas. In 2017, Michael worked his way through the ranks to become Co-owner of District35 Security & Investigations LCC.

David Glickler
Representing Attorney
David Glickler is an aggressive, yet compassionate attorney with the experience needed to handle complicated cases. As a result of his experience as an Assistant Attorney General and as a judge, he has had the opportunity to cultivate unparalleled connections with many people in the legal community (judges, prosecutors, attorneys, etc.) across the state giving him access to a strong network of resources that he can use for you and your case. He is a problem solver with the ability to think outside the box and consider a case from all angles. While attending Rutgers University, David made a perfect score on the LSAT (entrance exam for law school), a feat achieved by only 0.1% of those who take it. Because of this outstanding achievement, he received a scholarship to attend SMU Dedman School of Law in Dallas, where he graduated and passed the bar in 1993. While in law school, David clerked for Burleson, Pate and Gibson, where he assisted in numerous jury trials, including two significant federal white-collar trials. He was also active in SMU’s criminal clinic, where he represented indigent defendants in several jury trials as lead counsel, obtaining acquittals in all cases.
After graduating, David worked as a law clerk at the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals (CCA) for sixteen months. His work there included writing, reviewing, and researching important legal and constitutional issues. While serving with the CCA, David observed veteran attorneys arguing important constitutional matters on a weekly basis. Following the clerkship, David joined the Williamson County Attorney's Office as an Assistant County Attorney. His primary responsibilities were misdemeanor prosecution and juvenile cases. During his six years working there, David took and passed the Criminal Law Specialization Exam, and has maintained his status as a Board-Certified Criminal Law Specialist since 1999. To be eligible to sit for this exam, David had to show that he met the requirement of having experience in many criminal trials, court appearances, and appellate cases. He easily met those qualifications.
In March of 2001, David was hired by then-Attorney General John Cornyn into the Special Crimes Division as a special prosecutor. David has handled hundreds of cases across the State of Texas, appearing in over 100 District Courtrooms and in Federal Court, seeking justice on behalf of all citizens of the State of Texas. In 2007, under Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, David was promoted to the position of Deputy Division Chief of the White-Collar Crime and Public Integrity Section, supervising as many as seven attorneys.
He is widely considered an expert in gambling laws and other white-collar crimes. He continued supervising the White-Collar Crime Section until taking office as Judge of Hays County Court at Law #2 in January 2015. While serving as judge, David Glickler was honored to be able to preside over the Hays County Veterans Treatment Court. Because of his passion for helping those who have served our country, after taking over that court, Judge Glickler worked hard to successfully increase the number of troubled veterans whose lives were able to be turned around. He also worked with the Texas Veterans Commission to obtain grants that nearly tripled the budget of this court, at no cost to Hays County taxpayers.
He recognizes the need for assistance for our veterans and continues to be supportive of the Hays County Veterans Court. David Glickler was board-certified in Juvenile Law in 2001. Therefore, as Judge of Hays County Court at Law #2, David also presided over all juvenile matters. He increased his experience, knowledge, and compassion for children in the juvenile justice system. He also presided over probate court where he gained valuable experience and knowledge of wills, trusts, and estate law.
​After leaving the bench, David joined the John A Hall & Associates, PC Law Firm. He has had success defending adults and juveniles and increased his experience handling estates, and probates and preparing wills and other estate documents. David also had the opportunity to help clients get fair recoveries after suffering personal injuries as a result of other's careless actions. David is married to Nicole Cloutier, a Board-Certified Advanced Paralegal. Together they have four children and two granddaughters. Three of their children graduated from Hays High School. One of their sons is a former Marine and their son-in-law is a former Army. In his leisure time, David enjoys concerts, watching sports, and traveling. Several years ago, he began a personal quest to learn more about our presidents and began reading presidential biographies.

After completing his education at SWT University from 1966 to 1978, he embarked on a new journey by joining the US Navy as a radarman in 1978. During his time in the Navy, Michael served on the USS Semmes from 1969 to 1973 and continued his service until 1980. Following his naval career, he ventured into new fields, including involvement in the construction industry from 1981 to 1986, where he contributed to the development of the USS Merrimack. Additionally, Michael gained valuable experience in server port service control tower operations. In 1989, he transitioned into the business world and established an auto repair center, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and expertise. His successful venture lasted until 2010. Currently, Michael is involved with Pegasus Residential Treatment Center, further exemplifying his commitment to helping others. Michael Armstead's Naval Career as a Radarman:
From 1973 to 1980, Armstead served as a radarman on the USS Semmes. Armstead's desire to give back to his community became apparent as he transitioned from the auto repair industry to a more service-oriented role. In 2010, he joined the Pegasus Residential Treatment Center, a facility committed to helping and rehabilitating individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges. Armstead's compassionate nature and ability to inspire those around him made him an invaluable asset to the center.
